SLASPA Welcomes New Port Police Recruits

Monday, November 28th, 2016 - The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), held their Port Police Recruit Introductory Programme at the Authority’s Conference Room at its headquarters on Manoel Street. For several months, the Port Police Department has been operating undermanned and welcomed the much needed boost to the team.

The ceremony was chaired by the Chief of Port Police, Mr. Kennedy Francis. Mr. Keigan Cox, General Manager of SLASPA expressed the importance the new recruits task of maintaining the safety and security of air and sea port operations.

Corporal Philbert Collymore then followed with a brief summary of the Port Police recruitment course, and allowed the participants to introduce themselves to the group. Deputy Chief of Port Police, Mr. Michael Placide closed the ceremony by announcing the commencement of the Port Police Recruitment Training Programme.
