SLASPA Unveils its Corporate Campaign

Castries – Thursday, August 04, 2011 – The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) unveiled its first official corporate campaign, “Behind the Everyday Benefits of Life”, today at SLASPA’s conference room. The campaign shows the far reaching benefits SLASPA brings to St. Lucians in various aspects of their life such as the economy, medical, educational and retail.

“Given that St. Lucia is an island and is therefore totally surrounded by water, everything that has to be imported or exported is done through one of our five ports of entry which is managed by SLASPA, these ports are therefore the economic lifeline of St. Lucia as they allow our local manufacturers, retailers other businessmen to trade with global markets. Our health, wellness and medical services are also dependant on many products and equipment imported from international markets and in terms of educational our ports allow our schools access to the same quality of learning tools used internationally which are imported into St. Lucia. With communication as one of our key areas of focus, we felt it necessary to communicate this to customers, stakeholders and the wider public,” said Dona Regis, Director of Marketing and Product Development. “To effectively communicate this message we contracted Accella Marketing who produced this brilliant campaign,” continued Regis.

The campaign comprises four 15 second television and radio commercials in English and Creole, one 30 second commercial and a print advertisement series all focusing on four pillars of life: Economic, Education, Medical, and Retail. The commercials will be aired on various local radio and television stations from this week while the print series will be rolled out shortly after.
