SLASPA Provides Business Opportunities to Students during Tea Time Jazz 2010

Castries – Tuesday May 4th, 2010 – The Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), today announced a unique partnership with the Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) of the Ministry of Commerce in affording Marketing students, an opportunity to showcase their products during Tea Time Jazz 2010.

SLASPA, who is the presenting sponsor of Tea Time Jazz, sees this event as going beyond the promotion of La Place Carenage, but also part of its contribution to the socio –economic development of St. Lucia. “For the thirteenth year running, SLASPA is indeed proud to again present Tea Time Jazz. As the agency responsible for the Island’s points of entry, we are happy to be part of the St. Lucia Jazz Festival. Our partnership with SEDU is a testament of our commitment the development of St. Lucia. We thereforewish to commend SEDU on this important initiative and wish them every success” said Dona Regis, SLASPA’s Director of Marketing and Product Development.

In addition to SEDU, SLASPA has also partnered with several other local business houses who will be showcasing and selling their products during this event. This year’s Tea Time Jazz will feature G.F. Quartet, Shantel Joseph, Zionomi, Shayne Ross and LIME Diamond Steel. Tea Time Jazz will be held on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th May 2010 at La Place Carenage from 3.00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
