Keeping Port Users Well Informed in 2011

In 2010, we had the privilege of sharing a lot of information with you about the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA). From the very basics in terms of who we are and what we do as an organization to some more intricate details of our Airport and Seaport operations and even shared information with you on key members of our senior management team and General Manager. Recognizing the key role that we play in St. Lucia, through our weekly editions of Portfolio, we will endeavour to keep you informed on the happenings at the Port through 2011.

As with 2010, the provision of information to the public will also remain a key activity for SLASPA. One of the first of such activities is the much awaited launch of SLASPA’s Media Room. We also plan to keep you up to date with our other forms of media including our up to date website www.slaspa.com, our monthly talk show ‘Port Call’ on the Agenda, and our other monthly Newspaper column, Re‐Port that is disseminated to all port users which informs them about the performance of the port for the month.

Our increasingly popular magazine, SLASPA in Focus will continue to be one of our major resources to inform you on the activities at the port, and readers will be particularly impressed with the look and feel of this publication as we have moved to towards developing it into St. Lucia’s first Port Magazine with new features such as , “Ordinary People Extraordinary Contributions” – a feature on rank and file employees who by their commitment, hard work and dedication continue to make major contributions to SLASPA, “How‐to” articles – which are about how you can become more efficient at a particular topic and a “Did you Know” section – that gives you short tips about SLASPA.

2011 will see the continuation of our innovative features called “Port Pass and Boarding Pass”, which are a series of daily tips that empower port users with useful information about the port and ways their experience will be enhanced while using any of our facilities.
